Do you know about First Man and First Woman? Changing Woman?
Monster Slayer?
One of our goals
at Diné of Denver is to pass down to our children
knowledge of our Navajo language and folklore. Our language
proved to be an effective natural resource in World War
II. Our folklore is just as precious. We do not teach our
students that our folklore is an accurate depiction of the
beginning of man. We believe this is a decision every parent,
and eventually every child, must make for themselves. We
teach this as folklore only.
Whether you
are traditional or "contemporary," you and
your children may benefit from our classes in language
and folklore. Classes
are to be held every Saturday morning. We are changing
locations and the new location will be announced within
the next
two
weeks. Please e-mail me at GenBToledo@DinehofDenver.com
if you would like to participate as a student or instructor
in either the language or folklore classes.
Please check
back soon.
